摘要
英语是欧洲非英语国家的首选外语。2002-2003年欧洲跨国英语综合技能测试向人们展示了欧盟成员国内部北欧中学生优良的英语综合能力。分析欧洲英语试卷的特点、研究北欧学生良好英语综合技能形成的原因、探讨他们教学中的经验、教训,对我国的英语基础教育及其评估体系的改革具有一定的启示和借鉴意义。
English is the first foreign language in European non-English countries. The 2002-2003 European English test shows that Year 9 students from Northern European countries do far better than their counterparts from other countries within European Union. To analyze European English test paper, to explore the reasons that form Northern European students' good English, to discuss their experience and lessons will bring some reference and enlightenments to our fundamental English education and to our reform of evaluation system as well.
