摘要 随着网络业务和分布式系统的发展,现行Internet已无法满足用户的业务需求。为满足用户在安全性、健壮性、可靠性、可扩展等方面的需求,全球网络调研环境(GENI,Global Environment for Network Investigations)应运而生。GENI是由美国国家科学基金会(NSF)提出的下一代网络项目行动计划,它具有当今网络所无法比拟的安全性和健壮性。虽然GENI的研究还处于起步阶段,但其已经成为下一代互联网(NGI,Next Generation Internet)的研究热点。通过分析当代网络缺陷和NGI技术走向,对GENI关键技术,特别是GENI的项目研究与设计作详细介绍。 With the development of network services and distributed systems, the existing Internet cannot satisfy the demands of users. The GENI (global environment for network investigations) was set up to find ways to meet the demands of users in security, robustness, reliability and scalability. GENI is an action plan for the Next Generation Internet Program organized by the NSF (National Science Foundation) of the US, which are supposed to be more secure and robust than current Internet. Although in its starting stage, GENI has already become a hot topic in NGI (Next Generation Internet). By analyzing the defects in current network and the technical trend of NGI, This paper gives a detailed introduction to the key technologies of GENI, especially its research and design.
