摘要
Objective： To evaluate the feasibility of the whole body gamma knife in the treatment of malignant solid tumors. Methods： 643 patients diagnosed by pathology or cytology were treated with the whole body gamma knife. They received a total dose from 40-60 Gy/2-3 w, 3-10 Gy/fraction, 5 fractions/week. Results： The rates of response, complete remission, partial remission, no remission, and tumor progression were 94.6%, 39.2%, 55.4%, 5.1% and 0.3%, respectively. Conclusion： Whole body γ-radiation system （y-knife） was an effective method in treatment of patients with malignant tumor.
