托玛斯.哈代的著作《德伯家的苔丝》再现了象征主义手法的运用。就风格而言,哈代严格地遵循了写实主义的传统,同时,也运用了大量的象征主义,比喻和心理分析等手法,使之有着特殊的艺术魅力。本文将针对小说《德伯家的苔丝》中象征主义手法的运用,来探索其对主题实现的作用。
In this essay, the author uses typical examples to show the employment of symbolism in Tess of the D＇ Urbervilles, a master piece of Thomas Hardy. As far as style is concerned, Hardy firmly followed the tradition of realism, but at the same time, abundant employment of symbolism, metaphor and psychological analysis prevail in his works, which has enforced his realism and added it special artistic charm. This essay will mainly focus on his employment of symbolism in the book of Tess of the D＇ Urber-villes to explore the influences it exercises on the realization of the theme.
