新时期以来,农村改革率先突破,但也走过曲折的历程。"文化大革命"结束以后,党领导人民,从恢复党的农村经济政策、抓生产经营管理开始,迅速恢复生产。在此基础上,大力支持农民的创造和选择,发展多种经营、乡镇企业和小城镇。80年代中期,党总结国内外经验,实现理论上的飞跃,推动全面经济体制改革和发展。在政治经济出现波动的情况下,党领导进行治理整顿,坚持改革不动摇,最终迎来改革和发展的新阶段。开创之道不平坦,经验教训犹为珍贵。

The reform was successfully carried out first in the rural areas in the 1980s, but also experienced twists and turns. In the wake of the ＂Cultural Revolution,＂ under the leadership of the Party the people began with the restoration of the Party＇s rural economic policies and intensification of management in production and operation. On this basis, great efforts were made to support the peasants＇ initiative and choices to develop diversified economy, town and village enterprises and small towns. In the mid 1980s the Party summed up experience at home and abroad and promoted the all-round economic restructuring and development with a theoretical leap. When political and economic fluctuations occurred, the Party took measures to improve and rectify the situation and persevere in the reform. Finally, a new period of reform and development was ushered in. The pioneering road was not smooth and the experience and lessons were particularly valuable.
