The reform in agricultural and pastoral areas in Xinjiang was an important part of the rural reform throughout the country and displayed both the general character of the nationwide reform and its own unique features. Reviewing and mulling over the reform in agricultural and pastoral areas in Xinjiang from 1978 to 1992 we can seen that integration of the guiding principles of the Party and state with the actual conditions in Xinjiang is the key to the smooth reform and stable economic growth in the agricultural and pastoral areas.
