摘要
荷马史诗最初在颂诗人之间口头流传,但在荷马时代可能就已经有写本了。荷马史诗传入雅典之后成为奥林匹亚赛会的助兴活动,也逐渐成为贵族子弟的教材,此时所留下的城邦抄本和私人抄本就成了亚历山大里亚学者编篡、增删的底本,经过此次大规模的校订,泽被万世的荷马史诗文本就成了。
Homeric epics were transmitted orally among the rhapsodes. However, they had been written down probably in Homer＇s age. After they were brought into Athens, Homeric epics were recited in the Olympian Games and gradually found their way into textbooks for the nobles. Based on the city-manuscripts and private manuscripts, Alexandrian scholars edited and revised the texts of Homeric epics for the benefit of later generations.
