Relationship between Characteristics of Top Managers and Product Innovation:An Empirical Study Based on Private Enterprises in China

摘要探讨了高层管理者特质与产品创新之间的关系,以民营企业为研究对象对高层管理特质与产品创新之间的关系进行了实证研究,并考察了环境不确定性的调节作用。研究表明,对于民营企业而言,高管的年龄和专业背景对产品创新有显著影响,任期与受教育程度对产品创新的影响不显著,环境不确定性对高管特质与产品创新之间的关系不具有调节作用。 This paper discusses the relationship between characteristics of top managers and product innovations, and conducts the empirical research on the relationship between characteristics of top managers and product innovations based on investigation of private enterprises. It is indicated that the age and professional background of top managers have significant effects on product innovations; the duration and Level of education have no significant effect on product innovations, and environmental uncertainty can not moderate the he relationship between characteristics of top managers and product innovations.
