Literature Life Power of Common People Should Be Respected——Answer the Questions of Mr. Liu Huannan about Affinity to People and People Literature

人民性是一个文学无法回避的现实问题。在近20年的精英文化批判面前,民众的文学和文化需要没有得到过正常的尊重。精英文化要尊重人民群众的文化和文学生存权力;要尊重民众文学和艺术的选择权力;不能低估和贬低民众文学生活的文化价值和审美价值;不能将自己的精英文化立场"贵族化";精英群体不能只是把矛头指向民众,精英文化是同样需要被批判的。

Affinity to people is a realistic problem that can＇t he avoided. Facing nearly 20 years, elite litera-ture critique , masss literature and culture demands haven＇t never been respected normally. Elite culture need to respect people culture and literature existing power; choice power of mass literature and art should be respected; we can＇t underestimate and depreciate culture value and aesthetic value of literature lives of the common people; we can＇t put ourselves elite culture standpoint to aristocrat; elite group can＇t criticize directly the common people, and elite culture at the same time needs to he criticized.
