The characteristics of main schools of foreign language teaching methods

国外外语教学法流派众多，各具特色，都曾在一定的历史条件下对外语教学起过促进作用。本文就外语教学法主要流派的特点进行了归纳、总结和探讨，在此基础上指出对待外语教学法各种流派要采取博采众长，兼收并蓄的态度。

In foreign countries there are numerous schools of foreign language teaching methods with their own characteristics,having played a driving role in the foreign language teaching under certain historical condition. This paper summarizes and discusses the characteristics of the main schools of foreign language teaching methods.
