Cultural Differences Should be Understood by Nurses Going Abroad in Some International English Proficiency Tests

中国护理学生去国外留学或工作的首要条件之一就是英语必须通过托福TOEFL或雅思IELTS考试,如果去美国从事护理工作,还得通过CGFNS(美国)海外护士资格考试。因此,涉外护士要顺利通过这些相关国际英语水平考试,了解这些考试中的中英文化背景、道德观念、宗教信仰等方面差异,如"对病与对人"的护理观念方面的差异;中英语言形式、描述方式、思维模式等至关重要。

The first thing for nursing students in China to do is that they have to pass the test on TOEFL or IELTS if they want to study ＆ work abroad. Nursing students going to America have even to pass CGFNS besides TOEFL or IELTS. Therefore, it is very important or essential for nursing students going abroad to know well some cultural differences, moral values and religious beliefs between English ＆ Chinese in these relative English tests, such as the difference in nursing concept, language form, description way, and thinking mode.
