平行原则对英汉VP省略结构的制约 被引量：1

Parallelism's Constraints on VP Ellipsis in English and Chinese Languages

摘要 英语和汉语都有动词短语省略结构(英汉VP省略结构)。英语VP省略结构具有三个典型特征:严格与松散释义歧义、局部性效应、淘汰效应。一些语言学者也发现汉语VP省略结构也具有严格与松散释义歧义和局部性效应;其实汉语VP结构也显示了淘汰效应。英汉VP省略结构的上述三个典型特征在平行原则下均能获得合理解释,这充分说明平行原则制约着英汉VP省略结构。 There exist verb phrase ellipsis constructions in both English and Chinese language （VP ellipsis constructions）. VP ellipsis constructions in English exhibit three typical properties, which are strict and sloppy interpretation ambiguity, locality effect and the ehminative effect. Some linguists note that VP ellipsis constructions in Chinese language also show the first two properties. In fact, VP ellipsis constructions in Chinese language illustrate the eliminative effect, too. The mentioned three properties in VP ellipsis constructions in both English and Chinese languages can be interpreted completely regarding parallelism, which indicates that parallelism constrains these elliptical constructions in the two languages.
