The Mental Reality in Literary Description

一篇成功的文学作品必然要通过其描写在读者内心之中唤起真实的心理感受,这有两个途径,一是通过语言的暗示作用,调动人的生活经验、心理经验,让读者获得真实的心理感受;一是通过语言的形式直接作用于读者的情绪,让读者直接产生某种心理感受。前者为"间接心理真实",后者为"直接心理真实"。"直接心理真实"是一种极为巧妙的手段,它一般是艺术灵感闪现时所产生的内容与形式的绝妙结合。

A successful literature work must recall readers＇ real mental feelings through its description. There are two ways to get it：one is through awakening readers＇ life experience or mental experience;the other is through the form of language. Comparatively speaking the former is mediate and the latter is immediate. In this article,I call the former ＂Mediate Mental Reality＇and the latter ＂Immediate Mental Reality＂. ＂Immediate Mental Reality＂ is an artful description which is the perfect and inspirational combination of the content and form.
