Raising efficiency when running colleges and universities,and urging their development

通过学习江泽民总书记对四所交通大学校领导的谈话，结合目前学校的实际，提出了提高办学效益的五项措施，即：向转变观念，提高人的积极性要效益；向优化结构要效益；向加强管理要效益；向节约挖潜要效益；向科技开发要效益．

Having studied the speech of the General Secretary Jiang Zemin to the leading groaps of four Jiatong universities, the author presents five measures to get better beneficial results when running colleges and universities according to the present conditions of institutions of higher learning. The measures are to derive benefits from the changing of ideas and the rising of enthusiasm of the staff, from the optimizing of the structure of the institution, from the strengthenning of scientific management, from the cutting down of expenses and the tapping of potentialities, from the developing of science and technology.
