The water treatment is one of the key techniques in recirculation aquaculture system. The combining biofilter water treatment technique is one of the popular fields in fishery engineering research. This paper introduced the concept, principles, characteristics, and several kinds of combining biofilter water treatment techniques applied in aquaculture water treatment, such as plant and microorganism biofihers, animal and plant or microorganism biofihers. Trends of combining biofiher techniques in aquaculture water treatment are discussed finally.
