Evidences and Evaluation of New Additional Indications of Drugs In “Compendium of Materia Medica”

《本草纲目》新增药物主治达１０００余条，大多采之有据，或根据药物本身的性状和药性；或根据前人零散的用药资料；或根据自己和当时民间用药经验，经反复验证得来，较少虚妄和不实之辞，这些新增的药物主治，厘订了前人的诸多谬误，增广了药物的应用范围，为后世医药学研究提供了宝贵的史料。

New additional indications of drugs in “Compendium of Materia Medica” were more than a thousand of items. Most of them were adopted reasonably, according to drugs' character and property, or precursoryscattered information about drugs use, or himself's and folk drug using experiences which were tested repeatedly. These new additional indications of drugs not only revised many precursory falsehoods but also increased the range of drug application, so that they provide valuable information for later research.
