Reasons of Ryunosuke Akudagawa's visit to GU Hong-ming

日本著名作家芥川龙之介在1921年3月到中国旅行,其间不仅参观了中国的名胜古迹,还拜访了包括辜鸿铭在内的许多中国文化名人。芥川龙之介访问辜鸿铭,是将其看做反映当时中国政治、文化状况的一种载体。通过与辜鸿铭的交流和探讨能使他从中国古典文学文本中的虚幻与想象中走出来,切身感受到一个更加真实而具体的近代中国。

The famous Japanese writer Ryunosuke Akudagawa had not only paid visits to Chinese places of historic interests, but also lots of Chinese culture celebrities including GU Hong-ming when he had a journey in China on March, 1921. The reason that Ryunosuke Akudagawa visited GU Hong-ming is that Gu Hong-ming was a medium of reflecting Chinese politics and culture in his eyes at that time. Ryunosuke Akudagawa could escape from the unreal and imagination of the versions of Chinese classics and get a closer and more concrete picture of China in modern times by discussing with GU Hongming.
