摘要
人的全面发展是人类的永恒追求,而教育是实现人的全面发展的根本途径。在知识经济的背景下,回应于知识繁荣的现代教育在更高的层次上对人才的培养提出了更为全面的要求。为了提高全民综合素质和国家创新能力,结合了中外教育思想的长处,素质教育理念逐渐形成。人的全面发展是素质教育的旨归,也是现代教育的最高理想,关心"人的解放"、"人的完善"、"人的发展"是大学的本质。通识教育作为大学教育的重要一部分是对高等教育专门化、功利化导致的人的片面发展的一种矫正和超越,是高等教育本质和大学使命的回归。通过开展通识教育,我们可以培育和谐、全面发展的人,从而实现素质教育的目的。
We understand that humans always strive for full scale development, which can be fulfilled only by means of education. In the era of knowledge - based economy, in response to the knowledge explosion, modem education is asking for more on human's all -round developmem. In order to enhance the national's overall quality and innovation ability, the idea of full scale developmem education has been formed gxadually by incorporating the strengths of Chinese and foreign education. Human's full scale developmem is the ultimate goal of national education as well as the etemal ideal of modem eollege education. Caring for " human~ liberation", " human's perfection", " human's developmem", is the essence of university. As one of the most important functions in higher education, general education is correction of specialized education and the return of the mission of college education. It is believed that full - scale, harmoniously - developed humans can be brought up through the practice of the general education, hence the fulfilling of the goal of the quality education.
