摘要
在清朝初年和第二次世界大战结束后,先后出现过两次闽粤人民移居泰国的高潮。随着华人的出国,尤其是潮汕人的出国,妈祖信仰开始在泰国传播开来,其传播时间至迟在清乾隆年间。潮汕华侨称所崇拜的妈祖称"七圣妈",妈祖信仰体现出既保留中国宗教传统又部分与当地宗教文化融合的特色。
During the early stage of the Qing Dynasty and after the Second World War, there appeared two tides of immigrant to Thailand from Fujian and Guangdong. With Chinese, particularly Chaoshan natives, going abroad, worship of Mazu spread in Thailand, at most, not later than Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. Overseas Chinese of Chaoshan natives refers to Mazu as "Seventh Holy Goddess", which embodies the character of the mixture of traditional Chinese religion local religion culture.
