It Is Undeniable That Nan Drama Was Created in Wenzhou

刘念兹在《南戏新证》一书中,从漳州禁戏、刘克庄诗词、《中原音韵》、蔡中郎故事和福建传存古老剧目五个方面立论,提出南戏并非首先产生于温州。本文详作辨析后认为,其所述理由与实际情况不符,结论难以成立。

In his New Research of Nan Drama, LIU Nianzi, based on Jin Drama of Zhangzhou, poetry of LIU Kezhuang, Rhyme and Rhythm of Zhongyuan, stories of CAI Zhonglang and the old dramas left in Fujian Province, claimed that Nan Drama was not created in Wenzhou. After some studies, the author of this paper thinks that the conclusion is irrational as it is not in line with the reality.
