摘要
修辞是说话的艺术,而比喻是创造语言美的重要修辞手段。本文列举了现代修辞学主要研究的明喻、暗喻、换喻以及提喻在英语中的各种表达方式和常见句式,并对其语言功能进行了简析。
Rhetoric is regarded as the art of using language effectively and persuasively. Simile, metaphor, metonymy and synecdoche are very important figures of speech in creating aesthetic value. This article mainly expounds the different figurations of the four figures of speech being studied in modern rhetoric. It has also briefly analyzed their language functions in English.
