摘要
多媒体是信息化时代的重要组成部分,图像是多媒体中最主要的表现形式之一,为了更好地实现信息化,就必然有大量的图像需要在网络中存储转发。为了提高网络的运行效率,降低网络资源使用的费用,就必须进行图像压缩,节约存储空间,降低对传输带宽的占用,提高传输效率。
Image is one of the most important form of multimedia, which plays an important part in the information age. Large numbers of images are stored and forwarded via the network for the purpose of making better use of informational systematization. Images have to be compressed for space saving and transmission efficiency. In this way, the network can work more efficiently and the cost of using network resource will be largely reduced.
