当代中国建筑结构理性的缺失

THE LACK OF STRUCTURAL RATIONALISM IN CONTEMPORARY CHINA ARCHITECTURE

结构理性主义的形成与发展经历了几个世纪,在不同的时代结构理性具有强调结构正确性、强调材料本身特性、重视结构技术等共同特点,古代中西建筑中具有共同的自发的结构理性特征,而现代社会,结构理性在中国建筑界逐步缺失。本文揭示出现代西方社会中结构理性主义与工业文明的密切关系,进而同样历史辩证地对照分析结构理性在中国的曲折发展历程,试图解释当代中国建筑界结构理性缺失的原因,强调结构理性对于当今乃至将来建筑创作的重要意义。

It has been centuries for Structural Rationalism to develop. By emphasizing on the correctness of structure, valuing the characters of materials and focusing on construction technology, the central issues of Structural Rationalism remain the same, although the theory was changing during the time. There are similar spontaneous structural rational characters in the ancient western and eastern buildings .In the following article, I will discuss the natural bond between the architectural theory and the industrialization in western society. Compared with the situation in western countries, the development of Structural Rationalism in China was rather unprosperous. In addition, I will discuss about the reason that China failed to develop Structural Rationalism and show the importance of adopting the theory as for the whole architecture industry, It has emphasized the essentiality of Structural Rationalism to the architectural creation in nowadavs and the future.
