Innovations of Ideological and Political Work since the 16th National Congress

十六大以来,以胡锦涛同志为总书记的党中央高举邓小平理论和"三个代表"重要思想伟大旗帜,十分重视新的时代条件下党的思想政治工作的改进和创新,提出科学发展观的重大战略思想,为思想政治工作提供了新的思想指导和理论基础;部署了构建社会主义和谐社会的重大战略任务,为思想政治工作指明了新的发展方向;重申了"三个代表"重要思想教育,深化并细化了民族精神教育,提出了社会主义荣辱观教育和社会主义核心价值体系教育,极大地丰富了思想政治工作的基本内容;确立了"以人为本"和"贴近实际、贴近生活、贴近群众"的新理念,充实了思想政治工作的指导原则。并且,以保持共产党员先进性教育活动的形式开展党内教育,以颁布中央文件和召开中央工作会议的形式推动青少年思想政治教育,以创立实施"马克思主义理论研究和建设工程"的形式推进马克思主义理论建设与理论教育,从而开辟了思想政治工作的新途径。

Since the 16th National Congress, the Central Committee with the core of Hu Jintao General Secretary has held high the great banner of Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of Three Represents, paid close attention to the Party＇s ideological and political work under the conditions of new era, put forward the great strategic thoughts of scientific development outlook, providing a new ideological guide and theoretical basis for the work; they have made arrangements for major tasks of building a harmonious socialist society, guiding a new way for the work; the Central Committee has restated the education of the important thought of Three Represents, deepened education of national spirits, raised the education of socialist maxims of honor and disgrace and that of the socialist core values, enriching the contents of the work ; they also have put people first, maintained close contact with reality, life and the public, and substantiated the guiding principle of the work. In addition, the Central Committee has pioneered a new approach to ideological and political work through educating Party members to preserve their vanguard nature, campaigning ideological and moral education among young people by promulgating central documents and convening special session, and establishing and implementing ＂the Project to Study and Develop Marxist Theory＂ to build the studying of Marxist theory and theoretical education.
