The Influence of Benefit Structure on the Development of Electronic Payment Industry in China

银行卡是电子支付发展进程中最为重要的里程碑之一,它在很大程度上改变了消费者的支付方式和消费习惯。伴随着银行卡及其网络的普及,产业的相关经济理论研究也取得了一定的进展。本文分析了银行卡具有的网络外部性和双边市场的产业特征,提供了一个最基本的理论分析框架,同时给出了产业中最基本的运作方式和利益结构,对中国电子支付产业的发展有积极的借鉴作用。

Credit card is One of the most important milestones in the development of electronic payments,which to a large extent changes the payment pattern and consumption tradition.With the spread of credit cards and the internet networks,the related economic theories of this industry have been well developed.This paper analyzes the industrial characteristics of the network externality and two-sides market and offers a funda- mental theoretical framework.Meanwhile,it provides the basic operation and benefit structure of the in- dustry,which is helpful for the development of the electronic payment in China.
