A Comparative Study of Chinese and Japanese Idioms

熟语作为一种规约性语言,被广泛地使用在日常交际之中。汉日熟语所带有的知识性、民族性存在异同:一方面,汉日熟语都具有规约性和不变性等特点;另一方面,而由于中日两国的文化习惯、自然环境、文化认知的语境不同,且看待和观察事物的视点、深度亦存在差异,这对两种语言中熟语的形成、运用、理解等带来不同。

Idioms are widely used as conventional expressions in daily communication. And the idioms of Chinese and Japanese share similarities and differences in their respective knowledge and national characteristics. Both of them own the features of conventionality and invariance. Their differences are shown in the formation, usage and understanding due to differences between China and Japan in culture, circumstances, and perspective and depth of views on reality.
