The paper discusses the relation between ideology and translation criticism,and analyses the nature,features and classifications of ideology, pointing out that the deconstructive paradigm of translation studies in ideology is a misleading study, since it only focuses on the external aspects of ideology, ie,the manipulation of literary writing and translation activity by the social ideology,ignoring the writer＇ s ideology in the text,which is a resistance to the social ideology. The author points out that to reveal the resistance and their conflicts is the main task of ideological criticism of translation study,and in order to do so,the criticism should be the internal criticism,not the external one.
