with the public participation in the measurement of government performance in China, there have also appeared some problems in the practice, reflecting the low degree of public participation in current activities of govemment performance measurement. The solution to the problems lies with the enhancement of the four core dimensions, the leadership of public, the depth of public participation, transparency of information, and interactive compation in measurement of government performance and will provide a possible approach to China＇s practice.
