The Spiritual Personality and Literary Style of Ji Kang and Ruan Ji

竹林七贤中嵇康、阮籍的人格形象同中有异。他们以玄学自然观为武器否定司马氏所标榜的儒家名教礼法,追求洒脱不羁、超逸绝尘的玄学人格,行为和思想都具有叛逆性。他们的人格形象在文学创作中充分展示出来,形成了同中有异的风格特点。

In the ＂Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove＂, Ji Kangg personality was close to Ruan Jig. With the weapon of metaphysics and naturalism, they denied the Confucian rules of etiquette which was supported by the family of Sima, pursued an unrestrained and unconventional personality, and had rebellious behaviors and thoughts. Many literary works vividly described their personalities, and we could find there were many similarities and a few dissimilarities between them.
