本文对吴趼人的三篇历史小说——《痛史》、《两晋演义》和《云南野乘》的创作与发表过程作了梳理,阐述了近代历史小说在政治、文化因素的影响下,对传统历史小说"实录"原则的突破与补充。

Studying the course of creating and publishing three historical novels, the author clarified that modern historical novels, influenced by the political and cultural factors, made a breakthrough and gave a sup- plement to the principle of recording the facts in the writing of traditional historical novel.
