Chindex International has grown from a two woman start-up in 1981 to a company with over 1,000 employees in cities across China. But while the Nasdaq-listed healthcare service and medical supplies provider has seen steady growth since its inception, Roberta Lipson, the CEO and co-founder, says the last few months have been a turning point. Since September of last year the company＇s share price has doubled, and profit growth has been even faster. Earnings per share in Q4 2007 were 4oo% higher than during the last three months of 2006, while earnings-per share for the nine months to December 31 were up 150% year-on-year.
