In Madrid, there's still an opera house that follows the old tradition: every weekend the Sala Mirador puts on a show entitled Aplauso o Tamatazo? Audience members can choose to applaud or to throw tomatoes, and to date, a total of 15,000 kilos of tomatoes have been used in this theatre.
