OUTLINE / Zhang Le is currently the concertmaster of the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, but before returning to China, he had played in the Metropolitan Opera for 11 years. To have had more than a decade of operatic experience in the pit, Zhang Le＇s experience is unique among Chinese musicians. Here he shares some of his memories of his opera experiences in the US.
