Considering the immersed tube tunnel practice in Guangzhou city and the development of this sector in China, the paper analyzed factors controlling the application of this technology and put forward the option for enhancing the fabrication of tube sections and for optimizing the protection structure of river bank, aiming at reducing construction cost, enhancing environment protection and the effective use of land, promoting the development of this technology.
