摘要
在实用文体汉英翻译过程中需要对语篇结构进行归化:调整和简化,因为实用文体翻译:在形式上要遵照译入语,入乡随俗;在内容上要忠实于源语,追求功能对等;要以读者为中心,利于信息传递。文章探讨了段落和段落以上语篇结构调整、简化的几种变译方法。
Domestication, i.e. adjustment and simplification of pragmatic text structure is required in Chinese-English translation. This is because pragmatic translation should conform to the formal features of the target language, pursue functional equivalence based on the content of the source language, be reader-centered and facilitate information transmission. The paper discusses skills of structure adjustment or/and simplification within or beyond a paragraph of pragmatic texts.
