Lu Xun and Xiaxie Novels of the Qing Dynasty

鲁迅在《中国小说史略》中通过历史考证和文本分析,考评了清代狭邪小说的艺术渊源、发展阶段、内容及艺术特点,很多观点至今仍泽被后人。但也要看到,鲁迅的狭邪小说观具有局限性,他对狭邪小说的滥觞之作、成因、阶段性变化原因及使用方言写作等问题的论述都不尽如人意。

Lu Xun has researched and evaluated artistic origins, development stages, contents and artistic characteristics of ＂Xiaxie Novels of the Qing Dynasty＂ in ＂A Brief History of the Chinese Novels＂ through historical evidence and textual analysis. Many views still benefit his future generations. But we need to notice that Lu Xun＇ s concept of Xiaxie Novels also has limitations. Some of his discussions couldn＇ t make people satisfied, such as the first work and the cause of Xiaxie norvels, the reason for change, and the use of dialect.
