亚太地区艾滋病防治进展——介绍第八届亚太艾滋病大会

HIV/AIDS Control and Prevention in Asia and the Pacific, a Report of the 8th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific

第八届亚太艾滋病大会于2007年9月19日～23日在斯里兰卡首都科伦坡举行,大会主题是"变革浪潮,希望浪潮",希望通过各国和社会各个层面在艾滋病流行的新形势下交流经验、加强合作,为艾滋病病毒携带者、艾滋病患者和全人类带来新的希望。目前我国艾滋病防治工作同样面临着极大的挑战,本次大会的召开给我国的艾滋病防治工作也带来了新的希望和诸多启示。

The 8th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific （Sth ICAAP） was held from 19th to 23rd of August 2007 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The theme of the 8th ICAAP is Waves of Change, Waves of Hope. The theme aims to achieve meaningful exchanges of expertise, experiences, advances, lessons learnt, challenges faced and successes achieved in HIV/AIDS programs. It signifies many things happeming, while taking into account milestones in the past and creating new ones for the future, new work-plans, timelines and a future for the HIV and AIDS community and the general public. There are many challenges of HIV and AIDS in China. This congress brings us new hope and lots of inspiration.
