Empirical Study on How International Capital Inflow Promotes China＇s Economic Growth

过去五年来,人民银行广州分行贯彻落实科学发展观,主动适应职能调整,积极开展金融创新,大力改善金融生态,全面促进辖内经济金融发展与社会和谐进步。2008年是巩固近年宏观调控效果的关键之年,人民银行广州分行将加强货币政策效应的监测分析和调查研究,贯彻落实从紧货币政策;坚持以改革促发展,扎实做好地方金融改革和金融稳定工作;强化外汇资金流入流出管理,促进国际收支基本平衡;继续推进金融生态环境建设,进一步提升金融服务效能。

Since reform and opening up, China has been continuously encouraging the inflow of foreign capital. With the development of economy and the continuous inflow of foreign capital, foreign direct investment （FDI） has become a major form of foreign capital inflow. In recent years, China＇s GDP growth is in line with the trend of foreign investment growth. So, is the growth of foreign investment really promoting China＇s economic development？ In this paper, through empirical study, the author concludes that the inflow of foreign capital promotes China＇s economic growth to a certain extent.
