Problems in Studying Wang Shen-zhong's Life Story and Works

有关文献对明代唐宋派作家王慎中生平记载,如初期官职及任期、贬谪常州、转官南京、山东、江西时间均有误载或欠详之处,对其所取两号顺序亦有误载,这些都关系到理解作家的文学思想及明中期的文学思潮;文渊阁《四库全书》收录王慎中《遵岩集》,所据底本历来不清,后世学者对此问题见解不一。依据《遵岩集》中所收作品内容及顺序,参校多种版本,考证《四库全书.遵岩集》底本为明隆庆五年严鎡所刻二十五卷本。《明文海》所收《游凤凰山记》一文作者非王慎中。

There are many problems about the life story of Wang Shen-zhong, the famous writer of the Tangsong School in Ming Dynasty, such as his occupation in the first period, the time of his work in Changzhou, Nanjing, Shandong and Jiangxi Provinces, and his two names. It is important to understand his literary thoughts, and the literary schools in the middle Ming Dynasty. Zun-yan Collection was collected by the Complete Library of Four Treasuries, but its original edition could not be found. The scholars had different opinions about the problem. According to the contents and order of articles of the works, compared with other related editions, I conclude that it is a twenty-five volume edition, published by Yan - zi in 1571.
