摘要
仁的发现原本是对礼的意蕴深入开掘的结果,而礼的价值也正由仁的发现而重新确立。仁是礼的内在根据,仁心外化而成礼,依礼而行而成仁,这两个方面相辅相成,恰成一辩证的统一关系,而其前提则是:仁作为一个德性范畴乃是一个动态的存在,即仁由根之于心的潜在的德性,到经过礼的规范而实现为完美的人格,其间有一个发展的过程。在这一过程中,仁之作为潜在的德性和礼之作为外在的规范,各有其不可取代的地位和价值。仁不发于心,则礼便成为毫无意义的虚文;而失去礼的规范,则仁流为自然性情,虽不失为直,但却难免于野,甚至难免为乱。由仁之作为动态的范畴这一特点,我们又不妨推断:人性美善而又非纯美纯善或即是孔子未曾明言的独特的人性观。
