Appliance of 75 t LF using was summarized in the production of stainless steel in No.2 steelmaking plant of TISCO. LF can be a buffer for a high speed continuous casting by proper control of refining process. It has proved that 75 t LF also presents good ability ofdeoxidation and desulphurezation, which improved the purity of stainless steel with the addition of bottom argon blowing.
