Preview of the product retail industry development in China

摘要 本期刊发的李晓西教授的文章,从成品油市场入手,就石油石化行业的垄断与竞争、战略与发展,阐述了自己的观点与认识,虽属一家之言,确有独到见解。此外,面对国际油价高企的态势,选发了两位学者从不同角度和侧面纵谈高油价问题的文章,从国际到国内,从历史到当今,从理论到实践,从宏观到微观,有分析性探因,有前瞻性思考,有对策性建议。这三篇文章的观点与见解,希能引起各界专家、学者和读者的关注与讨论,以期在一定程度上达成共识,促进我国石油石化业的持续健康发展。 China’s oil industry is confronting the challenges from transnational oil companies. China has promised to open its product retail market within three years and product wholesale market within five years. Since 1980’s transnational oil companies have entered Chinese market through cooperation and joint operation. Only 2004, total petrochemical investment from foreign businessmen is over five billion US dollar. Also in that year, China had already opened its product retail market to foreign companies. These companies can construct fuel depots, ports and set gas stations without location restriction. The entrance of foreign oil companies has formed significant challenge to Chinese oil companies.
