基于小波分析的医学图像压缩技术进展

摘要 作为图像存诸和传输系统(picture archiving & communication system,PACS)的关键技术之一,医学图像压缩算法的优劣对PACS的性能有着重要的影响,小波分析由于其多分辨率分析特性而在医学图像压缩中得到了广泛应用。从小波变换医学图像压缩、小波包变换医学图像压缩和多小波变换医学图像压缩三个方面综述了小波医学图像压缩方法及其进展,总结对比了这些方法的优点和缺陷,并针对其不足之处提出了改进方向。 As a key technique of PACS (Picture Archiving & Communication System), medical image compression algorithm has played an important role in describing the feature of PACS. Due to the multi-resolution property of wavelet analysis, it is widely used in the area of medical image compression. Wavelet medical image compression methods including wavelet transform compression, wavelet packet transform compression and multi- wavelet transform compression are reviewed in this paper. Advantages and disadvantages of these methods are compared and suggestion of improvement are discussed according to their features as well.
