Brief Report of the Excavation of a Southern Song Dynasty Tomb of Lu Wenxian in Tingzhu,Ezhou

汀祖位于鄂州市南约18公里,1987年元月,汀祖镇丁家坳村农民平整地基建房时,发现南宋纪年墓一座,鄂州市博物馆对该墓进行了发掘清理(编号EDLM),出土的地券和梅瓶,为研究该地区宋代的葬俗及相关问题,提供了重要的实物资料。

A Southern Song dynasty tomb, located in Tingzhu 18 kilometers in the south of present Ezhou city, was discovered by a farmer in Juanary 1987 when he was leveling the ground to build his house. The tomb with an inscribed tomb stone was then excavated by archaeologists from Ezhou Municipal Museum, from which the title deed of land-ownership and mei-vase were recovered. The excavation provides cultural materials for study of burial customs of the Song dynasty and related issues in the region.
