论五四前后的民族主义思潮及其特点

On the Ideas of Nationalism and Their Characteristics around the May Fourth Movement

受第一次世界大战的影响,形成于清末民初的中国近代民族主义在五四前后有了进一步的发展,首先是民族自决思潮的兴起,其次是经济民族主义的兴起,再次是文化民族主义的兴起。与清末时期比较,五四前后的民族主义具有以下三个特点:一是民族主义与世界主义之互动;二是民族主义的现代性拓展,三是参与民族主义运动的阶级和阶层更加广泛。

Under the influence of World War I, modem nationalism in China that took form in the late Qing dynasty and the beginning of Republic of China experienced further development, in which the rise of the ideas about national autonomy, nationalism in economy and cultural nationalism are the main part. And cultural nationalism around the May Fourth Movement had three new characteristics： nationalism interacted with cosmopolitanism; nationalism deepening on modernity; classes and strata involved in nationalism movement became more and more extensive.
