胡应麟在《诗薮》中继承了严羽、明代前后七子等前人的诗学理论并加以改造,将学诗的过程概括为"法"、"悟"、"化"三个阶段,极大地丰富了这些范畴的内涵,形成自己相对完整的理论体系,基本上完成了对明代主流诗学的整理和集成,为我们以新的视野来审视明代文学复古提供了有益的借鉴。

Hu Ying - ning inherited and reformed anew the poetry theory of Yan Yu and Qi Zi in succession of Ming Dynasty in SHI SOU. Furthermore, he summarized the process of poetry study in three stages -Law, comprenhension, perfection. Thus, he enriched the connotation of these categories immensely, formed his own relative complete principle construct , finished arranging and synthesizing the essential poem academic theories in Ming Dynasty. He provided the beneficial reference for us to examine the literary in Ming Dynasty in a new view.
