Alienation Versus Adaptation in Culture-specific Context

长期以来,人们对翻译中的异化和归化的讨论仅局限于语言层面,因而争论不休。西方翻译研究的文化转向开拓了人们的视野,它使人们从社会历史文化这一大的语境下关照异化和归化,从而去动态地看待这两种方法。维努蒂、奈达和鲁迅相关的翻译策略就适应于相关的文化语境。

For quite a long time, the discussion of alienation and adaptation in translation has been limited to the form of language, and the dispute has never ceased. The cultural transformation of the western translation research broads our mind and enlightens us to consider alienation and adaptation in the context of social history and thus we can have a dynamic view on the two methods. The translation strategies of Venuti, Naida and Luxun correspond with the cultural context.
