A process for plating Sn on metal fasteners was introduced, including degreasing, halide Sn plating, oxidative blackening, polishing and varnishing. The formula and process conditions of individual step were presented. The Sn plating process features simple formulation, stable bath and convenient operation. The colored films are pitch black and durable.
