Legal Science Education in China: From the Perspective of the Rule of Law

从法治视野看,大学法学教育,除了遵循大学教育的一般共性和规律之外,还具有与法律职业具有紧密联系的特质;除了对学生进行学科教育之外,还必须培养与训练学生的法律职业素养与技能;除了从法官、检察官和律师之司法职业角度确定大学法学教育的培养目标,还应该把握法律产生类型的作用和意义。

University-Based legal science education should, from the perspective of the rule of law, feature close relationship with legal professions and follow the generality and the usual patterns of university education as well. Accordingly, students should be fostered and trained in qualities and skills essential to a legal professional besides receiving education in different disciplines. When carrying out legal science educa- tion activities, we should first set a goal of the university-based legal science education from perspectives of such legal professionals as judges, public prosecutors and lawyers, and at the same time, we should grasp the function and the significance of types of laws that have developed.
