The Special Usage of "zhi" in Self-reference Nominalization

本文指出了作为"事件化的自指"标志的结构助词"之"的两处很少被提及的使用环境:一是用于分句间,一是用于状谓间。其作用同用于主谓间一样,标志着在具体语境中,这种分句与分句的关系、状语与谓语的关系已是一个不能拆分的体词性语言单位,充当句子的一种成分(包括分句)。

This article points out the two situations in which the structure auxiliary word ＂zhi （之）used as a mark of the selfreference nominalization . ＂zhi（之）can not only be used between the clauses, but also be used between the adverbial and the predicate. Its function is the same as it works when used between the subject and the predicate, and it symbolizes that the combination of the clauses or the adverbial and the predicate has been inseparable language unit with the nature of nouns which is used as a sentence element or a clause.
